Evacuations Ahead of Hurricane Florence


More than a million people face mandatory evacuation orders in the coastal areas of Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The District of Columbia and the State of Maryland have also declared a state of emergency.

The Hurricane remains a Category 4 storm and is expected approach a Category 5 as it strengthens over the warm waters near the Carolinas. The threat extends beyond Virginia and the Carolinas as there will be a threat of inland flooding in Tennessee, Georgia, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Delays can be expected in the areas affected by the storm into next week. We will update you as additional information becomes available.
