Court Closures in Response to COVID-19

Several courts across the country are closing or severely limiting operations in response to the pandemic. We will try to keep you updated on all closures, delays, or interruptions to services as they develop. We are currently aware of the following:


Arkansas:

Pulaski County is currently closed for 2 weeks.


California:

Contra Costa County is closed as of today, Monday, March 16th and anticipates reopening Wednesday, April 1st.


Santa Clara County, while still currently operational, is rescheduling most matters effective March 16th through April 5th, but the county has been hit particularly hard by the coronavirus outbreak so we are monitoring the county court operations closely for any change.


Ventura County will be closed Monday, March 16th through Wednesday, March 18th. Limited operations will resume Thursday, March 19th through Friday, March 20th. At that time, the court will announce whether limited operations will continue.


Connecticut:

Courts limit criminal and civil jury trials by delaying them for the next 30 days, but courthouses will still remain open.


Georgia:

Henry and Clayton County are currently closed for 2 weeks.


Fulton County is closed until 03/30.

Spalding County is closed for 30 days. (Until 04/16)


Illinois

Cook county is postponing any cases or trials for 30 days. As of now, they still have courts open but are asking any non-essential employees who can work from home to please do so.


Kentucky:

Boyd, Bullitt, Calloway, Carter, Greenup, Hardin, Marshall, and McCracken are closed until 04/01/2020.


Massachusetts:

All courts are closed on 03/16/2020 and 03/17/2020.


New Hampshire:

All New Hampshire courts will be closed for 30 days.


New Jersey: All New Jersey courts are closed to the public for an undetermined amount of time.


North Carolina:

All courts are closed but our researchers will have the ability\to obtain public access remotely so the only delays will be on orders that require clerk assistance.


Pennsylvania:

Delaware and Montgomery County courts are closed on 03/16/2020 and 03/17/2020.


Tennessee

Henderson County is closed through 04/06/2020.


Loudon County is not currently allowing researchers in the building at this time. An end date has not been provided.


McMinn is closed through 03/31/2020.
