Court Fee Change - George, MS

George County, MS Justice Court charges a $10.00 court fee to process a criminal record search. This has already been in place and being passed on to all clients. They also charge a $10.00 fee for each record abstract. The court clerks will not tell our runners ahead of time how many cases are on file. They simply search the name and then provide the cases located which must be paid up front before records will be provided. The number of cases is dictated by what is found for the subject and the researcher is unable to say if they do not want certain cases and all must be paid for.

For many months, our runners were absorbing the extra $10.00 for the case abstracts, but they are no longer financially able to due to increasing number of reportable records across the board. This court fee for record abstracts will now be passed on to clients for searches conducted here that have records found by the court clerks and is effective immediately.
