Proposed Changes to 5 FCRA Rules

The Federal Trade Commission is seeking opinions on five FCRA rules implemented by the FTC to apply to motor vehicle dealers only. The rules, if implemented, would bring the FRCA in line with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Dodd-Frank Act limited the FTC's FCRA rulemaking authority by moving rulemaking position to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They would cover Address Discrepancy Rule, Affiliate Marketing Rule, Furnisher Rule, Pre-screen Opt-Out Notice Rule, and Risk-Based Pricing Rule.
